The Oppo F35 series has officially launched in India, featuring two models: the F35 Pro and the standard F35. We had the opportunity to get hands-on with the Pro variant, which stands out as a feature-rich all-rounder, offering some enhancements over its more affordable counterpart.
Camera Capabilities
Both the Oppo F35 Pro and the standard F35 come equipped with impressive camera systems, sporting 50MP sensors for both the main and front cameras. However, the Pro version takes it a step further with the inclusion of an 8MP ultrawide lens, enhancing its versatility for photography enthusiasts. This additional lens allows users to capture a broader perspective, making it an ideal choice for landscape and group photos.
Performance and Video Recording
Under the hood, the F35 Pro is powered by the more robust Dimensity 7360 Max chipset, whereas the non-Pro variant relies on the Dimensity 6360 Max. This performance boost enables the Pro model to handle demanding tasks and multitasking more efficiently. Additionally, the Pro supports 4K video recording, while the standard model is limited to 2.5K, appealing to users who wish to create high-quality videos.
Display and Design Features
The display is where the F35 Pro truly shines. It boasts a vibrant 6.78-inch OLED panel with a refresh rate of 144Hz, providing a smooth visual experience, particularly in gaming. However, it is important to note that this high refresh rate is only available for select games and not throughout the entire system interface. With a large screen size, it may not be the easiest device to use with one hand. The placement of the under-display fingerprint reader near the bottom edge can also make it slightly awkward to access.
Build Quality and Battery Life
While the F35 Pro feels solid in hand, some users might be put off by its plastic construction. Nevertheless, the device has received multiple certifications, including IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K, indicating a high level of protection against dust and water. The smartphone is available in several attractive colors, including Sunrise Orange, Twilight Brown, and Wave Blue. The Sunrise Orange variant, which we had the chance to test, features a striking wavy pattern with a matte finish that effectively resists fingerprints and smudges. Additionally, it comes with a matching case included in the box.
With a substantial 8,000 mAh battery and support for 80W fast charging, the Oppo F35 Pro ensures that users can enjoy their device throughout the day without worrying about running out of power.
In conclusion, the Oppo F35 Pro offers a compelling mix of advanced features, powerful performance, and stylish design. It caters well to users looking for a mid-range smartphone that does not compromise on quality.
