Vivo has officially unveiled the X500 Pro Max in China, marking it as the flagship device in the X500 Series. This smartphone boasts an impressive 200 MP telephoto camera, and there are strong indications that it will soon be available in Indonesia.
Awaiting Official Announcement in Indonesia
When approached by detikINET about the potential release of the Vivo X500 Series in Indonesia, Arga Simanjuntak, Public Relations Director of Vivo Indonesia, refrained from providing a specific launch date. He mentioned, “The X500 is definitely one of the products that will be exciting to anticipate. As for the timing, please be patient as we will announce it at the right moment,” during an event in Shanghai, China.
Signs of Arrival in Indonesia
While an official release date has not been confirmed, there are already signs that the Vivo X500 Series is preparing to enter the Indonesian market. Both the Vivo X500 and X500 Pro Max have obtained the necessary certifications required for telecommunication devices to be sold in the country.
- The Vivo X500, identified by model number V2619, received its Postel Komdigi certification on July 22, 2026.
- The X500 Pro Max, with model number V2610, was granted Postel certification on September 2, 2026.
Additionally, the X500 Pro Max has passed the TKDN certification with a score of 40.33%. However, passing these certifications does not guarantee an immediate market release, as Vivo Indonesia has yet to announce specific details regarding the variants, pricing, or launch date.

The Vivo X500 Pro Max stands out as the main attraction during the X500 Series launch event held in Shanghai on September 21, 2026. Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro, this smartphone features up to 16 GB of RAM and internal storage options reaching 1 TB.
The device sports a 6.85-inch 2K ZEISS Master Color Display with a resolution of 1,440 x 3,168 pixels, supporting a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz and a peak brightness of 4,400 nits, all protected by Armor Glass.
Camera Capabilities
One of the standout features of the Vivo X500 Pro Max is its camera system. It is equipped with a primary 50 MP ZEISS TrueDynamic camera utilizing a Sony LYTIA L910 sensor, featuring a f/1.57 aperture and gimbal-grade optical image stabilization (OIS). In addition to the Pro Max, the standard Vivo X500 has also cleared the Postel certification in Indonesia. This model features a 6.59-inch ZEISS Master Color Display with a resolution of 1,260 x 2,750 pixels, a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz, and a brightness of 4,000 nits.
Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9600M processor, it offers up to 12 GB of RAM and storage options up to 1 TB. The camera setup includes a 50 MP ZEISS main camera, a 64 MP telephoto camera, a 50 MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50 MP front camera. The battery capacity stands at 7,500 mAh with similar fast charging capabilities as the Pro Max.
In China, the Vivo X500 starts at 5,499 yuan, while the X500 Pro Max is priced from 6,999 yuan. The pricing and configurations for the Indonesian market will be revealed in a forthcoming announcement from Vivo Indonesia.
