The iMac M6 is available in two chip configurations: one featuring a 10-core CPU and GPU, and another with a more powerful 12-core CPU and GPU. The top-tier model includes two additional cores for both CPU and GPU compared to the iMac M4, further enhancing its processing power. Each core of the M6 chip is also equipped with a Neural Accelerator and a Dual 16-core Neural Engine, significantly speeding up AI processing tasks. With a memory bandwidth of 170 GB per second, the iMac M6 is designed to handle demanding applications with ease.
Storage and Display Innovations
Apple has also improved the SSD speed, claiming read and write speeds up to twice as fast as the previous generation. This enhancement is particularly beneficial for users frequently accessing large photo libraries or transferring video files. The iMac M6 maintains its signature slim design, featuring a 24-inch Retina 4.5K display, which provides 500 nits of brightness and supports a wide color gamut with over a billion colors.
Connectivity and Additional Features
