Oppo has officially unveiled its latest smartphone lineup, the Reno 16 Series, in Indonesia on July 2, 2026. The series comprises three models: the Oppo Reno 16 Pro 5G, Oppo Reno 16 5G, and Oppo Reno 16 F 5G, each designed to cater to the diverse needs of modern users.

According to Jiang Linlin, Chief Marketing Officer of Oppo Indonesia, the Reno 16 Series has been crafted to enhance productivity and content creation. He emphasized that today's youth utilize smartphones not only for communication but also for expressing creativity and sharing their stories in innovative ways.

One noteworthy feature introduced with the Reno 16 Series is the AI Mind Pilot. This feature integrates multiple AI models, including ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity, to assist users in completing a variety of tasks seamlessly. Additional tools include AI Mind Space for storing information from the screen, AI Bill Manager for transaction management, and AI Menu Translation to help users navigate foreign menus.
Photography Enhancements
All models in the Reno 16 Series come equipped with advanced camera systems. They feature a primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), a telephoto lens with a 3.5x optical zoom, an ultra-wide camera, and a 50 MP ultra-wide front camera. Furthermore, Oppo has incorporated AI-driven features like Pop Camera and AI Collage Mix for on-device photo editing.

The Oppo Reno 16 Pro 5G stands out as the flagship model, powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8550 Super chipset. It boasts AI HyperBoost 3.0 and a display with a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz for smoother gaming experiences. The Pro model features a 200 MP Ultra Clear Camera that retains high detail even after cropping, alongside the previously mentioned camera configurations. Additionally, it includes a robust 6,700 mAh battery with 80W SuperVOOC fast charging support and is certified for dust and water resistance (IP68, IP69, and IP69K).
In Indonesia, the Oppo Reno 16 Pro 5G is available in a single configuration of 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage.
On the other hand, the Oppo Reno 16 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset. This model also features a primary camera with OIS, a 3.5x telephoto lens, and the same impressive ultra-wide front camera as the Pro version. The AI photography features and ColorOS 16 enhancements are consistent across both models, ensuring a high-quality user experience.
