Huawei has expanded its flagship smartphone lineup with the introduction of the Huawei Pura 90s Pro and Pura 90s Pro Max. Both models come equipped with advanced camera systems and support for the highly anticipated 5G networks.
Edy Supartono, Senior Retail Manager at Huawei Device Indonesia, emphasized the unique design of the Pura 90s series, showcasing its iconic dual-tone gradient colors inspired by holiday vibes. One standout color, Orange Ocean, symbolizes the playful sunlight reflecting on water.
Differences Between Pura 90s Pro and Pro Max
While both devices share many specifications, the primary differences lie in their display sizes and camera capabilities. The Huawei Pura 90s Pro features a 6.6-inch LTPO OLED display with a resolution of 2760 x 1256 pixels. It supports an adaptive refresh rate ranging from 1 to 120Hz and a high touch sampling rate of up to 300Hz, all protected by second-generation Kunlun Glass.
On the back, it houses a triple-camera setup: a 50 MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and a variable aperture ranging from F1.4 to F4.0, a 12 MP ultrawide camera, and a 50 MP telephoto macro camera with OIS that supports 4x optical zoom and 100x digital zoom. Additionally, it features True-to-Colour 2.0 technology for lifelike colors and a 13 MP front camera.
Pro Max: Larger Display and Enhanced Camera
The Huawei Pura 90s Pro Max boasts a larger 6.9-inch LTPO OLED display with a resolution of 2880 x 1308 pixels, also supporting a refresh rate of 1 to 120Hz and a touch sampling rate of up to 300Hz. Its screen is fortified with Anti-Reflection and Scratch Resistant Kunlun Glass, minimizing glare by up to 70% for better visibility in all lighting conditions.
The standout feature of the Pura 90s Pro Max is its impressive 200 MP telephoto camera, which includes a 4x optical zoom and employs a large 1/1.28 inch sensor with RYYB technology, ensuring sharp and stable photos from a distance. This model also includes a 50 MP main camera with OIS, a 40 MP ultrawide camera, and similar front-facing camera as the Pro model.
Performance and Battery Life
Both models are powered by the Kirin 9030S octa-core chipset, paired with 12GB of RAM and internal storage options of up to 512GB. They run on EMUI 16.0, featuring various AI functions, including AI Composition that helps users capture stunning images by recognizing different scenes like portraits and landscapes.
Despite their size differences, the Pura 90s Pro and Pro Max are equipped with robust 6,000 mAh batteries. The Pro version supports fast charging at 66W, while the Max variant offers even faster charging capabilities of 100W. Both devices are rated IP68/IP69, providing excellent resistance against water and dust.

The Huawei Pura 90s Pro and Pro Max support extensive connectivity options, including 5G, LTE, Dual-SIM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 6.0, USB Type-C, NFC, and GPS.
