Security is a priority, and the partnership has implemented mechanisms to protect users. If the smartwatch is removed from the wrist and later put back on, it will prompt for the PIN again, ensuring that only the authorized user can access the payment feature. This is particularly useful to prevent unauthorized transactions if the watch is handed to someone else.
LinkAja has indicated that this payment feature can be used at various merchants, including popular chains like Indomaret, KFC, Lawson, and Alfamidi. Users simply need to present the QR code displayed on their Huawei Watch GT 7 during checkout, making the transaction seamless.
However, there's one caveat: users must ensure they have sufficient balance in their LinkAja account to complete purchases. Yogi humorously noted this requirement during the feature's introduction, highlighting its importance.
